Why WrestleMania 29 is SUPER
While some people thinks that WrestleMania 29 is one of the worst of the biggest annual WWE event in years, I still think the 2013 edition is SUPER! Below are my top 5 reasons:
Sensational debuts. WM rookies winning over former champs is a great way to push The Shield and Fandango as future stars of WWE.
Unprecedented. With 80,864 screaming fans watching live, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey registered a $12.3-million gross. It's highest ever!
Payback time. John Cena winning over The Rock after failing in last year's WM while Triple H redeeming himself from his Summer Slam lost to Brock Lesnar.
Everlasting. Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania is preserved at 21-0 after his much anticipated match against CM Punk.
Respect. Giving a spotlight to the 2013 Hall of Famers is such a great gesture to pay tribute to those who paved way to what WWE is today.
Aside from Cena avenging his loss against The Rock en route to capturing the WWE Championship for the 11th time, here are the complete results of WrestleManila 29:
a. The Shield defeated Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show.
b. Mark Henry defeated Ryback.
c. The Miz defeated Wade Barrett and is the new Intercontinental Champion.
d. Team Hell No remained as Tag Team Championship defeating Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston.
e. Fandango defeated Chris Jericho.
f. Alberto Del Rio retained the World Heavyweight Championship with a win over Jack Swagger.
g. The Undertaker defeated CM Punk and is 21-0 at Wrestlemania.
h. Triple H defeated Brock Lesnar.
